When scheduling an event that is out of town, one thing people often forget to take into consideration is the weather. I will never forget the time I attended an important business conference in Chicago in January. It was a miserable trip all around because of the weather. The plan was late landing, the traffic was backed up because of slippery roads, and no one could tour the city because of the bad weather. One of the key speakers never did arrive through no fault of his own.
If the conference had been planned at a Florida resort by a company familiar with the weather, it would have been a completely different story. A Florida event management company would know when the best weather happens and how to accommodate sudden changes. But in Florida, the worst you usually have to contend with is rain.
If I have to choose between rain or snow….let it rain, let it rain, let rain!
